赵鸿猷院与孙鲲化院左右相邻。孙鲲化与赵鸿猷在康熙三十八年同年中举，之后他们之间相互拜访，来往不断。赵鸿猷来到古城居住几日便产生了在此久居的想法。孙鲲化便将此院赠送给了赵鸿猷。

Zhao Hongyou Mansion is near the Sun Kunhua Mansion. Sun Kunhua and Zhao Hongyou passed the examination both in the 38th of Kangxi, then they alway visit each other. Zhao Hongyou came to live in the ancient city for a few days and came up with the idea of living here for a long time. Therefore, Sun Kunhua gave this mansion to Zhao Hongyou.

“赵鸿猷院”，与“孙鲲化院”左右相邻。据说，孙鲲化与赵鸿猷都是在康熙三十八年（1675年）同时考中了举人。赵鸿猷是高平人，孙氏家族又是在明代初从高平赤土坡迁徙到沁水湘峪的，在太原省城赶考期间，两人同住一个客栈。说起来本是同乡，相处起来关系自然而然就亲近多了，并成了挚友。后来，他们之间相互拜访，来往不断。有次赵鸿猷来到湘峪住了几日，当看到舒适清新的居所，风景秀丽的山峦，巍峨壮观的城堡，波光粼粼的湖畔等景色，便产生了在此久居的想法。孙鲲化猜出了他的心思，便将此院赠送给了赵鸿猷。该院现为沁水工商业史展馆。
